Due to the national commitment to education and the generous funding from federal and cantonal governments, tuition fees at Swiss universities are relatively low. Please click here for detailed information regarding fees at the University of Lucerne.

Cantonal Grants

The university itself does not offer scholarships. Funding is entirely in the responsibility of the students.

If you are not able to finance your education, you may apply for a cantonal grant. As a rule, the home canton is responsible for the grants. Each canton has its own grant regulation and the prerequisites for and the amount of the grant as well as the necessary formalities and deadlines vary from canton to canton. To be able to apply you must be a Swiss student in possession of a confirmation of enrolment. You can get the application form directly from the grants department of your home canton.
