This course introduces different perspectives of the health sciences, including basic concepts in health communication, health behavior and management, health economics, and health policy. Different lecturers will introduce their scientific fields, allowing students to develop a broad and critical understanding of the different scientific perspectives and approaches. The application of knowledge to real-world problems is an integral part of the course. |

This course provides an overview and comparison on the general structure and current issues of health care systems and health services. |

Statistical Programming |
Students receive hands-on instructions on the usage of specialized software to analyze health-related data. |

Students are introduced to different possibilities of designing a research study, get to know the research questions which can be answered by different designs and learn about the advantages and disadvantages of different designs. |

Students learn basic statistical methods and get acquainted with the latest techniques for answering scientific problems. |

Qualitative Methods |
This course will provide a basic introduction to major qualitative research approaches such as thematic analysis, grounded theory and interpretative phenomenological analysis. |

Project Management |
Students acquire basic skills in project management to successfully conduct a research project and develop a master thesis. |

Depending on the Major chosen, students attend different courses, tutorials and lectures in their specific area to acquire in-depth knowledge in a specific area of interest. |

Research Internship |
Starting after the end of the second semester and lasting until the end of the third semester, students work in a research project in one of our partner institutions. Students gain first-hand experience in applying their knowledge and skills in health sciences research and practice. At the same time, they start to develop their master thesis. |
